Release: SolveIT Software Signs Contract with NSW Local Government for Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS) of Equipment and Resources

ADELAIDE, SOUTH AUSTRALIA, 27 April, 2010 — SolveIT Software Pty Ltd, a leading provider of enterprise software for supply & demand optimisation and predictive modelling, announced today that it has signed a contract with Wyong Shire Council in New South Wales for the deployment of SolveIT Software’s Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS) system for government-wide equipment and resource scheduling.

Wyong Shire Council currently schedules equipment and operators to perform council works in the Wyong Shire area through a manual, spreadsheet-based process. Given the constraints around which operators and equipment can perform the task and their availability, this is a time-consuming and error-prone process for the Wyong planners. The deployment of SolveIT Software's Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS) system will simplify and automate this process by managing bookings and confirmation workflow, providing visibility of information to schedulers, and significantly reducing the time required to produce schedules. SolveIT Software has been working with PFD Food Services since early 2009 in the area of demand planning and replenishment optimisation. In October of 2009, SolveIT Software’s Demand Planner and Replenishment Optimiser went live in PFD’s South Australia operation, followed by a national roll-out that is currently underway.
